2016 Reading Challenge!!!

READING CHALLENGESo for those of you that enjoy a good reading challenge, but have a hard time coming up with one on your own (or can’t handle the pressure of finding an author with your initials or reading X amount of books in a year) then you can join us here at T Rex Reads and do the same challenges our bloggers are doing!

This is meant to be fun and easy and hopefully expand the things you’re already planning on reading.  Maybe get you out of that reading slump you’ve been in for a while.

So, all you have to do is follow us each month and do the same challenge we’re going.

PLUS you can enter our contest and win a cool prize related to what the challenge is!

For our first month, our challenge is…..

*drum roll*

Blind Date Book Challenge!!!!!

So if you’re not familiar with this type of challenge the way it works is like this:

You get a book (sometimes local libraries have setups for this), but you’re not allowed to see the cover (if at all possible).  Have a friend pick it out for your and wrap it like I did for our bloggers:

Since I set up the challenge that didn’t really work for me, so instead I downloaded an ebook that TheDinoWhisperer told me I should read.  The only thing she told me was…”It’s…weird…” Not much to go on.

Which is the whole point in the end!  So if you don’t have someone to cover your cover for you (haha) then the idea is still simple: you are NOT allowed to read the blurb on the back of the book!  No looking up the author, reviews, or anything else about your selection for the challenge.  You simply have to read and let the book stand on its own.

AND NO LAST-PAGE READING IF YOU’RE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO LIKE TO CHEAT!!!

(I’m looking at you SuddenButInevitable, DinoWhisperer, and Tritops and Trilogies!!!)

And even if you’re not able to do the challenge this month, you can still enter our giveaway below!!!
a Rafflecopter giveaway

The giveaway runs through the end of the month, so get cracking on that challenge!!  Winner will be announced April 1! (And no, that’s not an April Fool’s day joke….)

Good luck!
